Moving Alerts

This type of alert is generated when the device is first turned on or hasn't been heard from for at least a five (5) minute time interval. This type of alert is useful when you a user wishes to know when a device is on-the-go. For example, delivery trucks or construction equipment. If a user or business wishes to know when a vehicle that is turned off comes on-line and starts working, a moving alert may be the type of alert to configure.

When a moving alert is generated an e-mail message similar to the following will be generated and forwarded to the alert contacts.

The information contained in this report is the date and time when the device started moving, the device's API key id, the device name, reported speed at the time of the report, the reverse geo-coded address of where the vehicle was at the time of the report and the device's latitude and longitude.

If configured, the system may also send an SMS (text message) with similar information.
